An error-bar chart is a chart that displays statistical information about the data. Error bars are graphical representations of the variability of data and used on charts to indicate the error or uncertainty in a reported measurement. To create an error-bar chart using KoolChart's JavaScript charting library, the showErrorBar attribute of a series element (e.g. <Column2DSeries>, <Plot2DSeries>, etc) must be set in Layout.

In this JavaScript chart example, error bars are represented in a column chart.
<Column2DSeries yField="temperature" displayName="temperature" showErrorBar="true" errorBarDirection="both">
<errorBarStroke>
<Stroke color="#555555" weight="2"/>
</errorBarStroke>
...
</Column2DSeries>
